2-1/2 to 3-inch twisted steel wire.

Flexible, twisted wire beading needles have large eyes that collapse to fit through beads.

Light needles are best for smaller (2-3mm) beads and freshwater pearls.

Medium-heavy needles work well for 4-8mm beads.
